Nigel Payne has joined specialist distributor TFC Homeloans as its managing director.

The industry stalwart brings over 25 years’ mortgage market experience to the Warrington-based business, including his unrivalled knowledge of the specialist lending market. He has previously been managing director of The Mortgage Business and BM Solutions.

In his new role Payne will work alongside Wayne Smethurst and Andrew Brown, the founders of TFC Homeloans, to build the UK’s most trusted and reliable specialist distributor.

Smethurst said: “Nigel’s breadth of experience is unique and perfectly suited to TFC. He’s managed intermediary lenders and an insurance company, as well as launching a conveyancer into the broker market. He knows the lending and broker sectors inside out.”

TFC was launched 24 years ago and is a one stop shop for intermediaries looking to place mortgages, second charge loans, bridging and commercial deals, as well as lenders looking for a trusted and experienced distribution partner.

Payne said: “It had to be something special to pull me back into a permanent role and TFC Homeloans is just that. It’s a solid, established business, trusted by both brokers and lenders, with an ambitious and hardworking management team already in place.

“I am massively excited about taking this successful firm forward, cementing TFC’s position as a leading distributor.”

Payne starts his role with immediate effect and has now completed his non-executive director roles with other businesses.
